Announcing Nomadesk 5.0

We are very pleased to announce that there are some big changes on the horizon for Nomadesk. In order to provide specific permission levels and streamline Nomadesk’s usage, in May, we will be launching Nomadesk 5.0 under a user-based pricing model. Moving forward, that means:

• every user will have access to a Vault (we are renaming ‘Fileservers’ to ‘Vaults’ to better reflect the secure nature of Nomadesk)
• Personal Fileservers will also be converted to a Vault
• All Nomadesk customers will now have full sharing and sending capabilities
• You will still enjoy our UNLIMITED storage for a market-low price of €7,50 (or $10) per user per month

What does that mean for me?

As a current user of Nomadesk, we understand that you will have some questions about how we are transitioning to this new model. Before we go into any detail, we want to assure you, the price you pay for Nomadesk’s services will NOT increase. We want to reward our early adopters, so to show our appreciation of your continued support of Nomadesk, we guarantee none of our current customers will pay more than what they already pay for our software for their current number of users.

Why are you doing this?

Some of you are probably wondering why Nomadesk is making this change in our pricing model. After several discussions, we concluded this was the best action for Nomadesk for two primary reasons:

1. Setting the price at €7,50 ($10) per user per month (still with unlimited storage) will make it more affordable for people to start using the product
2. Tracking accounts through a user-based model allows us to build into the product highly desired features, such as folder-level access and permission settings

We are confident that this shift to a more affordable price and adding more features for every Nomadesk user is the best way to serve our customers, and will keep Nomadesk a leader in business-class file sharing solutions. Editing On-the-Go with ZoHo

Did you know that you can edit your MS Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents stored in Nomadesk through a web browser? By right-clicking on a file in myNomadesk.com and choosing ‘Edit’ from the drop-down menu, ZoHo will open the file in a new window that you can easily edit and save back to Nomadesk. Make updates to your files on the go or through your mobile device, and share with the rest of your team instantly!
