Release Notes: 14.0.0

We’re excited to announce version 14.0.0 of the Nomadesk Private Cloud Software Appliance. This release introduces full object storage support, delivering major performance and usability enhancements for Vaults hosted on object storage. We’ve also made improvements to the Private Cloud installer, alongside a number of quality-of-life updates and bug fixes.

Object Storage Support​

Nomadesk now fully supports object storage as a first-class storage backend for Vaults. This brings significant scalability and performance benefits, especially for large files and distributed environments.

By leveraging pre-signed URLs and native object store capabilities, clients can download files directly from storage buckets, reducing load on the Nomadesk servers and improving sync speeds. Features like thumbnail support, re-indexing, and optimized WebDAV access have all been enhanced to work seamlessly with object storage.

This marks a major step in making the Nomadesk platform more cloud-native, efficient, and future-proof—whether deployed in your private cloud or at scale in hosted environments.
